Use the site, be kind, check the door

Booth is an independent San Francisco nightlife guide, on the web and in the app. These are the basics of how to use it.

Last updated October 7, 2026

Listings are informational

We pull event information from public sources and clean it up. Dates, lineups, prices, and venues can change without warning. Always confirm on the official ticket link or venue page before you leave the house.

We are not affiliated

Booth is not affiliated with any venue, promoter, or artist listed on the site. We link to official ticket pages where possible but do not sell tickets or process refunds. Issues with an event, ticket, or entry are between you and the promoter/venue.

Acceptable use

Use the site for personal, non-commercial browsing. Do not scrape the site, re-host listings, or attempt to break the admin tools. We may rate-limit or block abusive traffic.

Plans and messages

You are responsible for what you send in plans and messages. Don't harass, threaten or demean anyone, and don't post hate, sexual content, spam or scams. Booth has zero tolerance for this: we may remove messages, take people out of plans, and suspend or delete accounts, without notice. You can block anyone and report a message or a person in the app; we review reports, usually within 48 hours. A plan's chat closes 3 days after its show and is deleted 90 days after it. A direct message with a friend is kept while you're friends; if either of you unfriends or blocks the other, or deletes their account, it becomes read-only and is deleted 30 days later. If you delete your account, messages you already sent stay in those chats, shown as from a deleted user, until the chat is deleted.

Buying and selling tickets between people

Booth doesn't sell tickets, and we are not part of any sale, trade or transfer between people who meet or talk on Booth. We don't check that a ticket is real, valid, transferable or fairly priced, or that a buyer or seller is who they say they are. If you buy, sell or trade a ticket with someone you found through Booth, you do it at your own risk, and it is up to you to make sure the trade is safe. Booth is not responsible or liable for any loss, scam, fake or duplicate ticket, denied entry, chargeback or dispute that comes from it.

Be careful. Payments sent as friends and family (PayPal Friends and Family, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle) and crypto usually have no buyer protection and can't be reversed. Use a payment method with buyer protection, such as PayPal Goods and Services, or the event's official resale or transfer when it has one. Follow the event's and ticket seller's rules and the law. Don't sell fake or invalid tickets; we may remove those messages and suspend those accounts.

SMS program

Signing up for the Thursday text is opt-in and you can reply STOP at any time to cancel. Msg & data rates may apply. See the privacy policy for details on how we handle your number.

No warranty

Booth is provided as-is. We do our best to keep listings accurate but do not warrant that everything is current, complete, or error-free. Use your own judgement when planning a night out. To the fullest extent the law allows, Booth is not liable for what other people say or do, on Booth or off it, including anyone you meet, make plans with, or buy from or sell to.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date above.
